book review: Faebound by Saara El-Arifi

book review: Faebound by Saara El-Arifi

I didn't love this book as much as I thought I would.  While the characters are likable, the book is slow paced and frequently predictable.

Two elven sisters who could not be more different:  one a warrior and the other gifted with prophecy.  They fall into the world of the fae who they have longed believed extinct.

The lore and world building are good.  But I would have liked more of that and less of the romance aspects that derailed the actual storyline.

Will I read book two?  Yes, because I need to see where the author takes it.  I need to know if the first book was about setting the stage and if in the second book we see more dimension in the world and characters.  Curiosity is going to get the best of me.

Is it just me?  Did you love this book?
