book review: Lies on the Serpent's Tongue by Kate Pearsall
If you're a fan of Practical Magic I think you will thoroughly enjoy this book and the companion book Bittersweet in the Hollow.
Set in the mountains of West Virginia resides a family with special abilities. But we won't call them witches. The main character has the ability to smell lies. She struggles with her gift because it seems like everyone has a lie on the tip of their tongue. Even various family members.
It's classified as young adult and is a quick read. I adore how Kate Pearsall describes the mountains, fauna and flora. Magical indeed. Fingers crossed that there will be other books to accompany these two.
There will definitely be a soap inspired by the gorgeous colors in this cover. Currently there is a soap inspired by Bittersweet in the Hollow here.
