book review: Nettle and Bone

Am I a professional when it comes to reviewing books? Nope. But I can tell you if I loved it, it was just okay, or (if given the chance) I would unread a book.

I saw a short clip that said they would read a grocery list written by T. Kingfisher.  One hundred percent agree.  I have yet to read a book she has written and be disappointed.  

Nettle & Bone is delightful.  You get a ragtag crew of characters on a quest to save the queen that I found extremely entertaining.  Dark fairy tale elements, heart and humor abound in this story.  If any of that is typically your jam then add it to your TBR.  Maybe move it to the top.

I listened to this on audio book while doing the not fun tasks of soap related things and it made the tasks infinitely more bearable.  I've been on an absolute streak when choosing audio books recently.  Not so much in the conventional reading arena. 

It seems I do have a tendency to only review a book if I enjoyed it.
