book review: Whistler

Am I a professional when it comes to reviewing books? Nope. But I can tell you if I loved it, it was just okay, or (if given the chance) I would unread a book. No stars and no recaps.
This book reminded me that I really need to go back and read every one of Ann Patchett's works. Do I have time for that with my ever growing TBR pile? Perhaps I can work one in every month.
This is a heartfelt story of relationships, bonds and much more. This novel falls firmly into the category of loved it. I listened to it on audio (narrated by Ann Patchett herself) but would like to go back and read the book so I can enjoy it in a new light.
Her characters are endearing and feel authentic. She is a master of storytelling. I'm definitely keen to fall under the spell of Patchett again. Off to add Bel Canto to my Libby holds.
